Smart Locks for Wooden Interior Doors Worldwide: 5050 Bodies, Backsets and Handle Locks

Interior wooden doors are the largest category by volume in many markets, from bedrooms and offices to rental rooms. They are lighter than entrance doors, but the lock body details still vary by country, so a clear process avoids wrong orders.

What is special about wooden doors

  • The edge is narrow, so the body must be narrow too.
  • The mortise pocket is cut by the carpenter and often matches a specific body.
  • Door thickness is typically less than on steel doors.
  • Handles must match the door handing.

Our wooden-door models

The B6 and B36 use a 5050 lock body designed for wooden doors, with anti-pry, anti-pull and anti-saw features, a Class C cylinder and four AA batteries. The B36 is zinc alloy in black, grey or red bronze and can be supplied with Tuya or TTLock. Both offer fingerprint, password, card, key and phone unlock, with emergency USB power.

Alternatives with other bodies

If your doors use a different body, consider the B7, which can use a true mortise body or a bottom-insert body designed to fit many door types, or the T6S on the 68 body. These suit wooden, security and office doors.
