Interior and apartment doors in many markets are wooden, and demand for fingerprint handle locks for them keeps growing. Wooden doors are thinner and more forgiving than steel doors, but the wrong lock body or battery choice still causes returns.
Choose the right lock body
Our wooden-door models, the B6 and B36, use a 5050 lock body with anti-pry, anti-pull and anti-saw features. Do not swap in a 68 body without checking the door edge: the mortise pocket in a wooden door is usually cut for a narrow body.
Check door thickness and faceplate
Measure the door thickness and the faceplate width. Also check whether there is already a mortise pocket (renovation) or whether the door is new (the installer cuts it).
Cylinder class and emergency access
Both models use a Class C cylinder, the highest grade in the Chinese cylinder grading. Emergency access is by mechanical key or by connecting a power bank to the USB port on the outside panel.
Batteries
The B6 and B36 use four AA batteries, which last about a year under normal use according to the product page. Check that the markets you serve stock AA cells and that the battery compartment is inside the door.
Apps and unlock methods
Unlock methods include fingerprint, password, card, key, phone and remote unlock. The B36 is available with a Tuya module, with TTLock or in a 23-language version, so choose according to your market. The B6 can take an optional Wi-Fi module for remote unlock.
Installation notes
- Mark both sides of the door to align the panels.
- Test the spindle by hand before fitting the panels.
- Run through enrolment and the mechanical key before the customer leaves.
