When a smart lock is sold, the app is what the customer lives with every day. It also decides whether you can bring in new users with a local-language interface. We build smart locks on three platforms.
Tuya
Tuya is our standard platform. It offers Wi-Fi control, notifications, temporary passwords and a broad ecosystem of third-party devices, which is useful when your customers also use smart plugs, cameras or hubs. Our dual-screen series connects over Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz.
TTLock
TTLock (Tongtong Lock) focuses on locks. It has a straightforward app for managing users and passwords and is popular with property managers, rentals and apartments. TTLock versions are available on selected models such as the A20S, AC26S and B36.
Matter
Matter is an interoperability standard that aims to let devices work across ecosystems. Matter versions of our dual-screen models are available and come with 10 languages. Choose Matter if your customers use ecosystems that support it.
Comparison
| Tuya | TTLock | Matter | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Homes with several smart devices | Rentals, apartments, property managers | Interoperable ecosystems |
| Availability | Standard on most models | Selected models | Selected dual-screen models |
| Languages | Up to 23 on supported versions | Multi-language on request | 10 languages |
Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?
Bluetooth-only versions need the phone nearby and cannot send remote unlock commands, but they are simpler and cheaper to run. Wi-Fi needs a 2.4 GHz network. If your customers’ routers are 5 GHz only, mention it in the sales process.
How to decide
- Ask which app your customers already use.
- Check local-language support.
- Decide whether you need remote unlock.
- Confirm the platform on the model you shortlist.
See the product catalog and tell us the platform on your quotation request.
